Zuppardo's Family Market

With the wide selection and specialized departments it almost feels like a bigger chain with how well and efficient it is run but you still have that New Orleans family owned local grocer feel.. Definitely my favorite for family owned local grocery store. The food made there is spectacular and everyone there who works there has been very kind and friendly. Especially Kelly. She took time away from working on something to help me and I was very appreciative

Awesome supermarket! Super spacious and clean with wide aisles that make shopping really comfortable. They have a great selection of fresh produce, flowers, and delicious prepared foods. Checkouts move fast with almost no lines, and the staff is very welcoming!

Under any other circumstances, I would give this store five stars. Simply because I like it, I bypass multiple other grocery stores just to come to this one. But I went and picked up a pork loin to have it sliced 1/4 of in inch, which is something I’ve done on the regular. I handed it to the employee and asked him to bring it to the butcher and slice it according to what I wanted. The butcher returned with the pork chops and as I’m looking at them, I stated “oh I thought I told him a quarter inch” the butcher then responded with an attitude to tell me that it was a quarter inch and how he’s been a butcher and cutting meat for 20 years and if I wanted to I could come to the back and see what the machine was set to. Completely unnecessary, I’ve been to this store multiple times over the years and have had the pork chops sliced according to what I wanted without issue. This was my first time interacting with this particular butcher, but the attitude and the response I got was completely unnecessary. It doesn’t matter how good your product is, when your customer service is lacking you’ll have problems.

We originally visited this bakery market for fresh bread but ended up discovering several other products we now buy regularly. The pastries, cookies, and cakes all taste fresh and homemade without being overly sweet or artificial. Compared to packaged baked goods from regular grocery stores, the texture and flavor here are noticeably better. The bakery section always smells incredible, and everything looks carefully prepared and displayed. Employees behind the counter are patient and helpful when recommending seasonal items or customer favorites. It’s become one of our favorite weekend stops whenever we want desserts or fresh bread for family dinners.

First time visiting this local grocer…safe to say we’ll be back, a lot! The friendly customer service literally started at the front door, and was consistent throughout with staff asking if we needed help and willing to explain. I can’t recall the last time we experienced such a great shopping experience. The food quality is impressive! We came in for items we couldn’t find fresh at chain stores. And the prices really got me; we have a bag of groceries at reasonable prices! In this economy, this matters!
